City advises of critical electricity work in Hanover Park

The City advises residents in Hanover Park of upcoming critical electricity work for essential infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out on 25 June 2024. The City apologises for any inconvenience.

The work had been scheduled to take place on 20 May 2024 but will instead be carried out on 25 June 2024 from 08:30 to 16:00, if all goes to plan. To view the area outage maps, visit:

It is important to note that the supply interruption will only affect the highlighted areas on the maps and only on the relevant date.

Please note:
 
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption. 

Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.

Please note that the outage duration is an estimation and restoration could be delayed due to the complex nature of the infrastructure work. Our teams will work as quickly as possible to complete the work within the communicated time. 

Should the power not be restored within communicated timeframes, residents are advised to check the City’s official communication channels, including the City’s social media channels, or contact the Call Centre before logging a service request in relation to the planned upgrade work.
